
Anthony David Gonzalez, born on the 27th of February, 1976, is an ex-American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL), for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered to be one of the top tight ends ever, and is currently the NFL's most successful tight end with regards to receiving yards as well as receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez also ranks third in the number of receptions he has. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons with them. In his final five seasons in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has served as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez ended his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and second most in league history and also received six first-team All-Pros. A well-known player for his endurance and rarely fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and lost just two fumbles across 1,327 passes. In 2019, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
